Microchipping
Microchipping is a legal requirement for all dogs over the age of eight weeks. We also provide microchipping for cats and other small animals.
Microchipping is a permanent, safe and affordable way of ensuring your pet is reunited should it go missing, escapes or even stolen.
Each chip contains a unique number that is linked to the owners contact details on a nationally integrated registry.
When a lost animal is found, it is checked to see if a microchip is present, and if so the contact details can be accessed and the pet reunited.
Microchipping can be done at any time, although most people have it done during a routine vaccination, or while their pet is with us for another procedure.
